Clivia Room

Palm Room

Desert Rose Room

The Clivia room is one of my favourites, as it has a dramatic black and orange arch of Clivia flowers which are in abundance at El Gecko B & B. The room has twin beds and the shower has gold and copper Aztec tiles. The bedding is burnt orange and white with dark wood shelving and accessories. This room is at the end of the corridor which makes a little more private and the gentle sound of gurgling water rushing over a hand-made koi fish pot. A round table and two chairs on the patio where one can enjoy the Bonsai tree and water feature.

The Palm room gets its name from the majestic palm trees outside and a beautiful mural above the head board of a palm tree. The d├ęcor is in shades of green. This is the only room that has a bathroom-en-suite for those who want to indulge in a luxurious Radox bath by candlelight. A king-size bed can be requested, but normally has twin beds. This room can be used as a family suite, as there is an inter-leading door between the Palm and the Orchid room. The Orchid room has twin beds for the children. On the patio outside is a table and two chairs should one want to enjoy the garden and the bird life.

The mural of a Mexican desert with a cactus tree and desert roses, surrounded by an arch with little geckos engraved in it. The wood used in this room is warm cherry wood. The king-size bed is most comfortable. The shower-en-suite also has a round mirror and a 3 dimensional mural of a clouds and a desert around it with a handmade basin and copper taps. This room has been designed to cater for the guest, who is in a wheel chair as the shower door is able to open all the way. Access is very easy in and out. The room is also suitable as a self-catering unit. A table and chairs outside to sit and enjoy the garden and bird life.

Gecko Room

Protea Room

Orchid Room

This room is one of the newest at El Gecko and is much larger than the first four rooms. The mural in this room has a 3 dimensional Gecko on a huge palm leaf on a palm tree. This room has more built in cupboards and is suitable as a self-catering unit for the longer stays. The shower-en-suite has a handmade mirror in the shape of a gecko with a handmade basin and copper taps. A table and chairs are outside for the guest to enjoy the garden and the birdlife.

The Protea room has our national flower, but in exotic shades of purple and lilac. There are twin beds and a shower-en-suite, with dramatic mosaic tiles in the shower. The bedding here is in shades of lilac and purple. Outside the room on the patio is a table and chair to enjoy the beauty of the garden.

This room has a beautiful mural of the exotic orchid flower and the bedding is complemented with shades of light blue. It has all the same amenities of the Palm room. There are twin beds and a shower-en-suite.
